GUÍA OSTEOLÓGICA DE LOS DINOSAURIOS HADROSAUROIDEOS (Ornithopoda, Hadrosauroidea) segunda parte: Esqueleto Craneano

El cráneo de los hadrosauroideos es la estructura más compleja de su anatomía, con rasgos de importancia sistemática y filogenética. Descubrimientos recientes han incrementado la diversidad anatómica, provocando confusión al reconocer caracteres únicos o derivados, al utilizar términos distintos para las mismas estructuras. Esta situación se agrava cuando los investigadores y estudiantes de habla hispana necesitan realizar una descripción detallada. El actual trabajo representa la segunda parte de la descripción anatómica de los hadrosauroideos, la cual incluye un compendio introductorio actualizado e ilustrado de su anatomía craneana. El propósito es facilitar el manejo de nuevos datos de importancia filogenética y la identificación taxonómica de restos aislados o asociados, usando morfotipos.
