It contains a chapter named “Stratigraphic section,” divided into three units: (1) Slates of Necoxtla; (2) Limestones of Maltrata; and (3) Limestones of Escamela. The second chapter is named “The Cretaceous of Orizaba.” The third one is “Tectonic conditions.” The fourth one is “Hydrographic and orographic section”, divided into two sections: About Orizaba’s springs and rivers, and About some orographic features. The fifth chapter is “About the origin of the Mexican Plateau.” The sixth and last chapter, by E. Ordóñez, is “Eruptive rocks.”
