A map of the Republic is included, in scale 1:10’000,000, with the approximate location of the main described bodies. Chapter I contains: historical notes, main subdivisions of the rhyolites, macroscopic characters and geographic distribution. Chapter II is titled “The bufas of Guanajuato, Zacatecas, Real del Monte (Cerro del Águila), Mascota, Chihuahua.” Chapter III es “Las Navajas.” Chapter IV is named “Other rhyolitic regions of the Mexican Plateau.” In chapter V there is a description of the rhyolites of the Sierra Madre Occidental and their age is disputed.
