Este es el primer estudio paleobotánico publicado por el instituto. Es una monografía detallada en la que se especifica la composición de la flora de esta región del NW de Oaxaca haciendo una relación de los géneros y las especies presentes. El autor considera la flora como del Liásico (Jurásico Temprano), pero posteriormente, Burckhardt (Boletín 47, 1927) elevaría el límite superior al Jurásico Medio.
